Terms of Use

Last updated: July 31, 2026 · Applies to Basalt (the VS Code / Cursor extension), basaltweb marketplace, Submit, and Dashboard.

By using Basalt (“we”, “us”, “Basalt”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the product.

1. What Basalt is

Basalt is a visual editor and phone preview for Expo / React Native apps inside VS Code or Cursor, plus an optional web marketplace for skins and related assets. Basalt is offered as a beta product and may change, break, or go offline without notice.

2. Accounts

3. The editor & your code

4. Marketplace & submissions

5. Refunds (digital marketplace)

Marketplace items are digital goods (for example texture / skin JSON and related installable assets). Once delivered, they generally cannot be “returned.”

How we decide: we review purchase records, payment status, and delivery signals (for example download events and install / My Stuff activity). A refund for “not delivered” requires that our records do not show a successful delivery. Downloading or installing the file counts as delivery even if you later delete the file.

6. Acceptable use

Do not: abuse the service, scrape or attack our systems, spam listings, reverse-engineer to steal others’ paid assets, or use Basalt for illegal activity.

7. Intellectual property

Basalt’s name, branding, extension code, and official catalog items belong to us or our licensors. Your project code and your original submissions remain yours, except for licenses granted above.

8. Disclaimers

Basalt is provided “as is” during beta, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, perfect source edits, marketplace sales, or compatibility with every Expo / React Native setup.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Basalt and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from use of the product. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of amounts you paid us in the prior 3 months or USD $50.

10. Termination

You may stop using Basalt anytime. We may suspend or terminate access for Terms violations, abuse, or operational reasons. Provisions that should survive (IP, liability limits, licenses already granted for sold items) will survive.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date on this page.
